Allen Michael Kenneth Keyes passed away on Feb. 4 at the age of 63 at his home in Emmett, Idaho, with his wife, Leslie Carey DeHart by his side after a long, courageous battle with liver disease.

Allen was born on Jan. 21, 1948 to Kenneth Harry Keyes and Pamela Mary Landricombe, both of whom preceded him in death.

Allen was born and raised in Portland, Ore., and graduated from Benson High School. He joined the U.S. Army when he was 17 and served in West Germany and for two tours in Vietnam.

He received a Purple Heart while serving in Vietnam. Allen was an adventurous person who loved people and enjoyed his life to the fullest.
He was talented in so many ways; there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix.
He loved to help people whenever he could. He had a big heart.

Allen is survived by his wife, Leslie; stepsons, Zack DeHart and Jesse DeHart; brother, Ronald (Paula) Keyes of LaVista, Neb.; sisters, Marilyn (Jack) Clark of Evanston; and Diane Unverricht and Wendy Unverricht, both of Portland, Ore.; stepfather, Eugene Unverricht of Cornelius, Ore.; nieces Shannon and Heather Farmer, Kimberly Pezeshki, Andrea Fearn and Stacy DeVries; and nephews, Harley Fearn and Nathan Keyes.

Cremation has taken place and no services have been planned at this time.
